Senator Kaka Shehu Lawan Participates in the Zonal Public Hearing on the Review of the 1999 Constitution
Representative of Borno Central State, Senator Barrister Kaka Shehu Lawan, SAN, actively participated in the opening session of the Zonal Public Hearing on the Review of the 1999 Constitution, organized by the Senate of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

The two-day public hearing was held at the Mohammed Indimi International Conference Center at the University of Maiduguri campus, and brought together key stakeholders from the six states in the North East geopolitical zone. The event served as a vital platform for inclusive dialog on the country's constitutional reform efforts.

The high-level meeting was attended by eminent personalities including the Deputy Governor of Borno State, Hon. Umar Usman Kadafor; the President of the 10th Senate, Barr. Mohammed Tahir Monguno who represented the Deputy Senate President, HRH Shehu of Borno, former Senate President Ahmed Ibrahim Lawan, Senator Ahmed Ningi, Senator Mohammed Bomai, and a number of other Senators.
Also present were chairmen of state assemblies, representatives of traditional institutions, civil society groups, youth organizations and professional bodies - all of whom contributed to the robust deliberations on the constitutional review.
