LABI Nigeria is a well-established humanitarian actor within Nigeria and has unique expertise in various thematic areas such as Case Management, Child Protection, Women's Empowerment, Gender-based Violence (GBV), Nutrition and Education in emergency situations. The main objective of LABI Nigeria is to offer comprehensive preventive and reactive interventions by working closely with children, women, families and communities. LABI Nigeria's key programs include a community-based child protection mechanism, family care for unaccompanied children, psychosocial support offered through individual case management, child-friendly space
s and parenting skills programs. In addition, LABI Nigeria is involved in the release and reintegration of women and children associated with armed groups, as well as in the prevention of child labor through life skills training, recreational activities and the provision of food and non-food items (ANI). LABI adopts a reintegration approach that combines child protection, prevention and treatment of GBV in emergency contexts, thus promoting a complementary and collaborative approach.

Location: MMC, Jere and Kwaya-Kusar in the Borno LGAs, Potiskum in the LGA of Yobe State, in north-eastern Nigeria.

General Objective :

The main responsibility of the CMAM provider will be to directly supervise all CMAM activities on the designated site. This includes conducting screenings, admissions, record keeping, outings, distribution, and much more.

Responsibilities and Tasks :

Implementation of Project Activities :
The person in charge will be responsible for providing nutritional education on the CMAM site.
She will carry out CMAM activities on site, which includes screening, admissions, record keeping, outings, distribution and reviews of beneficiaries.
In coordination with her supervisor, she will monitor the progress of the beneficiaries, identifying cases requiring referrals, readmissions or discharge.
She will generate follow-up lists and collaborate with the awareness teams to ensure appropriate follow-up.

She will be responsible for raising awareness among the beneficiaries of the project and providing advice on infant and young child feeding (IYCF) as well as the use of RUTF /RUSF on CMAM sites.
Any other additional tasks as requested by the supervisor.

Collaboration with the Community :

Facilitate positive collaboration between LABDI and local community leaders.
Liaise with the local population and the authorities to identify needs, concerns and major events that may affect LABDI's activities.

Ensure that the objectives of the project are clearly understood by the beneficiaries and the local communities, encouraging them to actively participate in the implementation.
Serve as a point of contact for beneficiaries in order to identify needs, concerns and major events that may affect LABDI's activities.

Communication and Reports :

Data collection and compilation, as well as timely submission of reports.
Transmit any information or problem related to its tasks, LABDI's programs or safety to its direct and / or indirect supervisors.
Deal with issues in the field with beneficiaries or community members, then reporting back to the supervisor.
Represent LABDI at all times and in all places during its service.
Help collect and organize data, images and information from the field to create weekly internal reports for the supervisor in charge of livelihoods.
Contribute to the weekly progress reports by presenting achievements, challenges encountered and suggestions for improving the implementation of the project.
Contribute to strengthening the organization's community feedback and complaints system.
Participate in evaluations as directed by the supervisor.
Logistics and Administration :
Contribute to the logistical and administrative organization of activities.
Contribute to the definition of the needs for materials and tools for the program, as well as to the planning of interventions.
Ensure the safety and good condition of all equipment provided by LABDI.

Required Skills

Language skills: Fluent in English, as well as in local dialects such as Hausa, Bura and Kanuri.
Education Diploma: Certification in a health-related field or secondary education certification with at least 2 years of experience in CMAM activities.
Work Experience: At least 2 years of experience in CMAM activities.
Demonstrated understanding of infant and young child nutrition.
Previous experience in CMAM activities.
Previous experience with an NGO is essential.
Experience with the systems and structures of the Ministry of Health.
Prior commitment to food safety programs.
Previous experience in humanitarian evaluations, monitoring and evaluation is an advantage.

Other Requirements :

Excellent field skills.
Training in CMAM and IYCN (Infant and Young Child Feeding).
Commitment to the values and principles of the NGO.
In-depth knowledge of Borno State and willingness to travel locally.
Excellent teamwork skills.
Effective stress management and flexibility.
