The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) is a visionary government agency dedicated to building a strong, professional, and disciplined paramilitary system that promotes peace, security, and national stability.
Originally established as the Customs, Immigration and Prisons Services Board by Decree No. 14 in July 1986, the Board operated under the leadership of the Honourable Minister of Internal Affairs. It was tasked with overseeing the effective implementation of key legislative acts, including the Customs and Excise Management Act (CEMA) of 1958, the Immigration Act of 1963, and the Prisons Act of 1972.

The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) is responsible for recruiting qualified Nigerians into these four paramilitary agencies. They are now accepting online applications from interested and eligible candidates to fill current job vacancies.

Available Positions and Categories
CDCFIB is recruiting for full-time positions under the following categories:
Category A: General Duty Superintendent Cadre
1. Superintendent of Correctional, CONMESS 02
Qualification: MBBS or Bachelor’s Degree in Medicine and Surgery from a recognized institution.
Available only in the Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS).*
2. Assistant Superintendent I, COMPASS 09
Qualification: Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Civil, Chemical, Electrical Engineering or Law (LLB, BL).
Available only in the Federal Fire Service (FFS).
3. Assistant Superintendent II, COMPASS 08
Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree or HND from a recognized institution.
Category B: Inspectorate Cadre
Inspector, CONHESS 06
Qualification: Registered Nurse (RN), Registered Midwife (RM), or RN/M certified from a recognized institution.
Available in NCoS, FFS, and NSCDC.
2. Assistant Inspector, COMPASS 06
Qualification: NCE or ND in a related field from a recognized institution.
Category C: Assistant Cadre
1. Assistant III (General Duty), COMPASS 03
Qualification: SSCE/NECO/GCE O’Level with at least 4 credits in not more than 2 sittings, including English and Mathematics.
2. Assistant II (Drivers/Artisans), COMPASS 04
Qualification: Same as above, or Trade Test Grade III in areas like Motor Driving or Auto Electricals.
General Requirements for All Applicants
- To qualify for the CDCFIB 2025 recruitment, applicants must:
- interested canididate must be a Nigerian citizen by birth.
- interested canididate must posses the required qualifications.
- interested canididate must be physically and mentally fit, with medical certification from a recognized hospital.
- interested canididate must be of good character with no criminal convictions.
- interested canididate must not have been involved in any financial embarrassment.
- interested canididate must be between the ages of 18 and 35 years.
- interested canididate must be at least 1.65m tall for men and 1.60m for women
- interested canididate must have a minimum chest measurement of 0.87m (men)
- Computer literacy is an added advantage.
