Nigeria Police Academy (POLAC) 2025 Admission: Apply for the 12th Regular Course Degree Programme

Are you passionate about serving your country and pursuing a quality university education at the same time? The Nigeria Police Academy, Wudil, Kano State, invites qualified and interested applicants to apply for admission into its 12th Regular Course Degree Programmes for the 2025 academic year.

This is a golden opportunity for young Nigerians to gain academic qualifications while receiving police training, leading to commissioning into the Nigeria Police Force as Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP).

The online application portal is open from 28th July to 8th September, 2025. Interested candidates are to complete the online application form through the official portal.

Admission Requirements

  • Applicants must be Nigerian by birth and possess a valid National Identity Number (NIN).
  • Must have sat for JAMB UTME 2025 with at least 180 score and selected Nigeria Police Academy as first choice.
  • Must have a minimum of 6 credits in not more than 2 sittings (WAEC/NECO/NABTEB), including English and Mathematics.
  • Applicants must be 16-21 years old by 31st October, 2025.
  • Physically and mentally fit: Minimum height of 1.67m for males, 1.64m for females. Male chest measurement must be at least 86cm (34 inches).
  • Must not be married or pregnant.
  • Have a valid email address and phone number.
  • Only results from 2021 and above are accepted.

How to Apply

  1. Visit the official application portal: www.admission.polac.edu.ng
  2. Generate your Remita Retrieval Reference (RRR) code.
  3. Pay a non-refundable fee of ₦6,000 only (₦2,000 for POST UTME).
  4. Make payment through any commercial bank in Nigeria.
  5. Complete the online form and upload scanned copies of SSCE, birth certificate, certificate of origin.
  6. Print out and submit a copy of the form during screening.

Aptitude Test

All applicants will write a Computer-Based Test (CBT) at the Nigeria Police Academy, Wudil ICT Centre. Date to be announced later.

 Automated Physical Screening

Applicants who pass the CBT will proceed to physical screening. Required documents:

  • Original credentials (SSCE, birth certificate, etc.).
  • Medical fitness report from a government hospital.
  • Letter of good character from traditional ruler or community head.
  • Certificate of Local Government of origin.
  • Parent/Guardian consent letter.
  • Police attestation letter from a CSP rank officer or above.

 Medical Screening & Selection Interview

Candidates who scale through the physical screening will proceed to a medical examination and final interview/selection process. Notifications will be sent via SMS and email.

Programme Duration & Career Opportunity

Admitted candidates will undergo a 5-year academic and police training programme. On graduation, they will earn a Bachelor's degree and be commissioned into the Nigeria Police Force as Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP).
