PRIMARY DUTIES:


- Work in collaboration with program team members to create tools for data collection, making sure they are in line with project goals and indicators.
- Conduct qualitative data collection through focus group discussions (FGDs) and key informant interviews (KIIs) with beneficiaries.
- Carry out regular data gathering in the field, while ensuring that it is accurate, complete, and timely.
- Input, clean, and manage the gathered data within the specified databases or systems.
- Oversee data storage processes and ensure proper archiving of all reports related to project activities.
- Collaborate closely with the Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning (MEAL) officer to facilitate community education, gather feedback and complaints from the field, and address these complaints as needed.
- Work alongside the MEAL Coordinator to uphold data quality through routine validation and verification procedures.
- Assist with implementing project monitoring plans and tracking progress relative to key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Produce regular and special reports on project activities, outputs, and outcomes.
- Aid in creating data visualizations, charts, and graphs to effectively present findings.
- Assist in the design and execution of evaluations including baseline, midline, and endline phases.
- Participate in data analysis and interpretation throughout evaluations.
- Collaborate with external evaluators to provide essential data and insights.
- Help implement feedback systems for program beneficiaries and stakeholders.
- Support the gathering of beneficiary feedback and complaints, ensuring they are addressed promptly and appropriately.
- Work with the MEAL team to arrange learning events, workshops, and sessions for knowledge sharing.
- Contribute to documenting lessons learned and best practices for ongoing improvement.
- Assist in sharing program results and lessons learned within the organization and with external partners.
- Demonstrate proficiency in using Kobo Toolbox for research.
- Be adept in analysis tools such as Excel, SPSS, or Power BI.

Qualifications and Skills:


- A bachelor’s degree in a pertinent area such as social sciences, development studies, or statistics.
- Previous experience of 1-2 years in monitoring and evaluation, data collection, or similar fields.
- Competence in using data collection tools, data entry practices, and fundamental data analysis methods.
- Knowledge of database management systems and data visualization applications.
- Strong organizational abilities and meticulous attention to detail.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Capability to collaborate effectively within a team.
- Experience with humanitarian or development initiatives is a plus.
- Familiarity with relevant software such as Excel and statistical applications is beneficial.
- Proficiency in both written and spoken English; knowledge of additional languages may be an asset.
