Maiduguri, Borno State – The fight against HIV/AIDS in Borno State took a significant step forward with the launch of the 2024 World AIDS Day activities. Organized by the Society for Family Health (SFH) in partnership with the Borno State Agency for the Control of AIDS and Malaria (BOSACAM), the event aimed to raise awareness, provide support to people living with HIV (PLHIV), and commemorate those lost to the epidemic.

Her Excellency Dr. Falmata Babagana Umara Zulum, the First Lady of Borno State, emphasized the need for collective action to combat the disease. Represented by Hon. Zuwaira Gambo, the Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Development, she praised Governor Prof. Engr. Babagana Umara Zulum's dedication to improving healthcare and social welfare in the state.
